Phaneendra Kondapi

Chemical and Biological Engineering Affiliate Faculty

Dr. Phaneendra Kondapi is an affiliate faculty at Colorado School of Mines in the Center for Hydrate Research and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Founder and CEO of DigiTide.ai. In his previous roles, he served as the Founding Director and Interim Assistant Dean of Engineering Programs at University of Houston and as an Instructional Professor and Director of Subsea Engineering. He also served as the Director of Subsea Engineering and Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University. Previously, he worked in the industry for over 20 years including at FMC Technologies, KBR and Wood. He is a founding member and past Program Committee Chair of AIChE-UEFA Forum, founding member and past Chair of the SPE International Flow Assurance Technical Section and also served as the Chair for SPE International Forum on Flow Assurance – The Future State of the Art.

Phaneendra is a Distinguished Member of SPE International, recipient of Innovative Teaching Fellow Award and Projects Facilities & Construction Technical Award from SPE International, Engineer of Distinction Award from College of Engineering, Tennessee Technological University, Outstanding Alumnus Award from College of Engineering, Andhra University, Projects Facilities & Construction Technical Award and Distinguished Petroleum Engineering Faculty Award from SPE Gulf Coast North America. Phaneendra received his Ph.D. from Tennessee Technological University and B.S. and M.S. from Andhra University, all in Chemical Engineering.
